Genoa vs Napoli by Rahul

Genoa come into this encounter on the back of a mini-resurgence of form after some terrible performances. Their last 2 games have seen them draw against Milan and beat Cagliari which should give them some good confidence coming into this encounter against Napoli. Genoa are currently sitting in the bottom half of the table, and need to turn around their performances in order to get back to the top half of the table as they have only won 1 game in their last 9 encounters in all competitions. Genoa's losses came against Inter, Bologna, Lazio and Juventus and now take on the league Leaders Napoli who have been scoring for fun in recent weeks. Genoa had scored twice against Lazio and Juventus this season; and some of those high flying performance could be expected tonight in front of their home fans.

Napoli have been flying in the Serie A this season; sitting top of the pile. Their strong performances especially in front of the net have seen them score 26 goals in 9 games played so far; with the only game where they have failed to score this season was the 0-0 draw with Inter on the weekend. Napoli will look forward to playing in such a game against Genoa where they can play a bit more freely without the worry of facing a title contender and they will look to the likes of Mertens, Insigne, Callejon and Hamsik to continue delivering those strong performances like they have been doing for much of the season. Napoli games have been thoroughly entertaining this season with 2 of their games all season seeing less than 3 goals.

This game should be an entertaining one, and with Napoli scoring goals and Genoa leaking over 4 goals in their match ups with Lazio and Juventus earlier in the season; I am expecting over 2.5 goals in this encounter.
