Houston Rockets vs Player Special by Marci
Yesterday sadly Vucevic did all what was expected, took 17 shoots, but missed way too many and scored only 5 times with 0-5 3pt shooting and failed to get any free throw, but today is a new day and I will start early as I expect them to raise this margin as he is in most places on 19,5 and even 20,5. Eric Gordon is usually a bench scorer and e did that very well last season and was expected to do same this season, but Chris Paul got injured and now he is starting alongside James Harden and he is definitely using his minutes.
In first 4 games he is averaging 23,5 points in 30 minutes and only time he didnt score more than 20 points was against Dallas when he played only 24 minutes and even then he scored 18 points with 5-11 shooting. In other 3 games he had bigger minutes and took more shoots and well scored more - 24 vs GS with 9-16 in 29 minutes, 25 vs Sacramento with 7-23 in 34 minutes and 27 vs Memphis with 8-20 in 33 minutes.
He is 2nd scoring option behind James Harden and is taking a lot 3 pointers 6,13,6,15 and enough free throws 8,8,8,7 to go over 20 and in bad shooting game and today he is playing aginast Philadelphia which is second to last in defending his position with 31 points conceding per game. Either Redick or Covington arent really elite defenders and he should definitely score 20+ points.
Clint Capela is in most places on 12,5 and he is good option as philly isnt really good at defending paint while Holmes is still injured and he is only great paint defender in team as Amir Johnson got a bit slower this season.
