Chelsea vs Everton by Pacifier

Chelsea
VS
Everton
Chelsea picked up a vital win against Watford after their struggles in the preceding three matches where they lost to Man City, Crystal Palace and then drew to Roma in the champions league. Their worries in midfield has been a particular cause of worry for them has they have now conceded seven goals in just three games without the cover of Ngolo Kante. They look bereft of confidence at the back and they still are without Victor Moses at right wing back and Kante in midfield. Summer signing Danny Drinkwater is still injured and they could line up with Fabregas and Bakayoko in central midfield. The highly rated Musonda could come in to the three man attack joined by Batshuayi and Willian. Alonso could also get a rest at left wing back with Brazilian Kennedy coming in for him. Zappacosta could move to the right wing back position to replace Azpilicueta.

Everton poor start to the season continued at the weekend as they lost disappointingly to Arsenal by 5-2 at Goodison park. That loss proved to be the nail on the coffin for Ronald Koeman as he was given the sack a day later. U23 coach David Unsworth takes charge of the team on a temporary basis here and his first test will be to navigate a difficult game against Chelsea at Stamford bridge. They got a fitness boost by the early return of Morgan Schneiderlin and James Mccarthy who should both provide added cover for the defense line. Ross Barkley, Seamus Coleman, Yannick Bolasie are all long term absentees while Idrissa Gueye is out after his red card against Arsenal. This game could see a change in formation to a more favoured 4-2-3-1 for Everton with Rooney spearheading the attack supported by Calvet-Lewin, Sigurdson and highly rated Lookman. Schneiderlin and Besic should provide cover in the central midfield position.

A new manager brings a fresh lease of life to a club and we should see obvious improvement in Everton game plan and approach which should ultimately free up the talented Gylfi Sigurdsson in his favoured attacking midfield role. Chelsea are really struggling defensively after the injury to Kante and I expect Rooney and co to trouble them here, but I think this game might be too early for Unsworth to really make his mark and I feel he will lose here but they have enough about themselves attacking wise to score here.

Go for Chelsea to win here with both team getting on the score sheet. 2-1, 3-1 maybe.
