Bristol City vs Crystal Palace by Pacifier
Crystal Palace will not make this competition a priority as they play a struggling West Ham side this weekend in the Premiership. So manger Roy Hodgson should rest some of his key players ahead of that game which is virtually a must win for them. They have just three wins all season and two have come in this competition although I think they will value three points against West Ham than advancing to the next round here. They are still without the two centre forward Connor Wickham and Benteke. Zaha and Townsend could sit this one out also which should give chances to the trio of Sakho, Puncheon and Chung Yong in attack. Loftus Cheek could play in the hole behind Sakho and they should carry a goal threat themselves.
This game looks unimportant to both side when you consider their respective aims this season. Bristol are hoping to get a play-off spot and ultimately secure a promotion ticket while palace would want to get far away from the relegation spots. I believe this lack of pressure to perform will bring a more fluid attacking showing from both sides and we could see a league cup cracker here. Bristol having knocked out Stoke and Watford could very well fancy another upset here but I think we will see a performance from the guests and this game should see at least three goals scored.
