Udinese vs Juventus by Pacifier
Juventus find themselves in 3rd place with 19 points, already six points adrift Napoli. Yesterday 0-0 draw between 1st placed Napoli and 2nd placed Inter means Juventus would close the gap at the top to just three points and that should be the only aim here after a hard fought victory in mid week against Sporting Lisbon in the champions league. After a superb start that saw them win their opening six fixtures in the league, they have only picked up one point from a possible six in their last two games. That has left them with a daunting task of catch up to a Napoli side that looks like they could challenge for the title. Mattia De Sciglio and Howedes are both unavailable in defense. Higuain should start up top in a 4-2-3-1 formation with the trio of Mandzukic- Dybala- Quadrado providing support. Khedira and Pjanic should start in central midfield after Blaise Matuidi sustained an injury.
This game is important for both teams albeit for different reasons. While Udinese wants to distance themselves from the relegation places, Juventus hopes to close the gap to the top places. Juventus have become sloppy in recent games and have dropped points from winning positions in their last two games and at such, I reckon Udinese could give them a scare today. But the home side defense line has been far from solid with 15 goals conceded so far and I believe Juventus should get off the blocks early and try to get the lead. They should be able to seal it late on with such an attacking array of talent they have at their disposal from the bench.
