Houston Astros vs NY Yankees by Demogorgon
●Both teams won their home games (3/3) so far
●Under is 9-3 in Astros last 12 home games
●Astors have won last 5 home games vs Yankees
This is the final battle and the Astros have home advtantage agaist the Yankees. They won the previous match with an unexpected 7-1, as they got the lead in the 5th inning, scoring 3 runs, with 3 walks and 2 players left on bases. They never looked to be threten by the Yankees, and when they conced their first run late in the 8th inning (solo home run), they scored instantly a solo home run and another 3 runs and finished things off, switchind the momentum after 3 straight loses (8-1, 6-4, 5-0) and extending the series to a final game winner takes it all.
The Astros have proven to be efficient when they have to get the job done, finishing the regular season 1st in batting average as well as 1st in runs scored! while they also kept the Yankees to a combining 3 runs scored (a single run per game) during the first 3 games at home!
Today they will start C.Morton, who started a few games ago (against Sabathia) and had one of the worst nights of his post season career, allowing 7 runs in 6 hits, in just 3.2 innings before eventualy leaving the mound. Thats the only concern i have, but i trust him as he is a great pitcher and he has the ability to bounce back today against the Yankees in a hot arena.
The Yankees on the other hand may have exceed their expectations by reaching the final game in semi-finals and fighting for a place in the World Series Finals.
They have been very good, at least at home, but they have been nothing but poor on the road with 5 loses in 6 games while in 4 of those games tehy failed to scrore more than 1 run!
Today they will start Sabathia, the veteran ace pitcher has been money for most of the season. He has a farily decent record versus the Astros, 10-5 with a 4.24 ERA over 22 career postseason appearances and he is a master in taking the mound under such conditions and important games.
I have to admit taht i prefer Morton agaisnt Sabathia, despite Morton's previous awful performance. Sabathia has an obsesion with his strikes and taht could be crucial when you face a team with such powerful bats.
I think that given the opportunity, i will pick the Astros to win this match, but only in live betting at proper odds as i expect them to have a huge edge latter on agaisnt the Yankees bullpen!
What i prefer here, pre-game, is the under. The weather will be pitch-friendly, with many clouds (helping infielders vision), >10 mph winds(no actual effect on flying balls) and temperatures of 28'-29' celcius (which is not great but not bad either for pitchers grip) and ofcourse this is a final! which means that both teams will be much more careful and the pitcher will take as much as they need to, in order to throw perfect pitches, while the infielders will not take chances.
