Chelsea vs Watford by Blackcrow

Chelsea
VS
Watford
Chelsea have lost their last two games in the Premier League, losing 1-0 at home to Manchester City and surprisingly losing 2-1 at Crystal Palace, and on top of that, they led 2-1 at half time midweek against Roma in the Champions League, but had to hold on for a 3-3 draw. How much will this take out of them remains to be seen, but despite having players who can create and score goals, their defence has been exposed without Kante there to screen them. Still, with Morata returning against Roma, and Hazard playing off him, there is quality in this side that can carve up this Watford defence

Watford have been the surprise packets of the league, as they sit in 4th spot and two points in front of Chelsea. They have won two and drawn one of their last three games, as they beat Arsenal (6th) 2-1 at home, drew 2-2 at West Brom (11th) and won 2-1 at Swansea (14th). On the road, they have won three and drawn one of their four games, as they beat both Southampton (12th) and Bournemouth (19th) by the same score of 2-0. Much points to them picking up at least a point here, as they have scored twice in each of their four away games, but none of these teams are the so-called "top six" that they have played on the road. Going to Stamford Bridge is going to be a step up from what they have played against, and especially, as there are question marks are arising about the home sides ability to defend their title.

Expect Chelsea to lift for this game, and quieten some of the doubters. Watford play well as a team, but individually are not at the same level as Chelsea, and it is players like Hazard who can create something out of nothing who can be the difference here. Chelsea won 4-3 last year in the corresponding game, and 2-1 at Watford, so these games have goals in them, and with both sides showing they can score, and neither defence can be considered one of the better ones, then like them to both to score. However, Chelsea's quality could be enough to edge this, and like them to do so
