LA Dodgers vs Chicago Cubs by Senpai

LA Dodgers lost the game yesterday and now they are 3:1 in the division series.

Yesterday’s game was a game of home runs. While Chicago Cubs won yesterday’s game, LA Dodgers looked more dangerous with the walks and hits. They just lacked concentration at the scoring opportunities. Dodgers had 4 hits and 9 walks, while Cubs had 5 hits and 1 walks. Dodger’s batters seem to be in good conditions, especially Justin Turner and Yasiel Puig. Not only that, Dodger’s bull pen still remains as its strong points, with no points given at all in this championship series against cubs. Dodgers remain as a strong favourite for this match.

Compared to Dodgers, while Cubs won the game, they clearly showed many weakness. Their bull pen pitchers seemed to have difficulties taking care of the 2 and 1/3 innings. Not only that, Cubs batters doesn’t seem to be in good condition at all; they got points from only home runs, which were results of bad pitches by Alex Wood. In fact, they didn’t hit any good pitches from Wood and the batters were completely silent in previous 3 matches, which increases my concern in Cubs.

Today’s starting pitcher are Clayton Kershaw for Dodgers and Jose Quintana for Cubs.

Two pitchers are not comparable; Kershaw is the best pitcher in the major league with an average ERA of 2.16 in last 5 games, but Quintana is just an okay pitcher with an ERA of 4.30 in last 5 games. I don’t expect Cubs to get a single point from Dodgers at all, because of Kershaw and strong bull pen of Dodgers. On the other hand, I’m not so sure about Cubs; I don’t expect Quintana to pitch like Arietta and the bull pen doesn’t give me any confidence as well. Even for the batters, Dodgers seem to have batters who are in better condition than Cubs. Thus, I expect Dodgers to win today.
