Chelsea vs Roma by Blackcrow

Chelsea probably had their eye on this game against Roma, and not on Crystal Palace on the weekend, and as a result, lost a game they should not have. Expect them to bounce back here at Stamford Bridge, as they look to make it three wins in a row in their Champions League group games. They won 6-0 over Qarabag and followed it up with a very good 2-1 win at Atletico Madrid to lead the group. With Morata returning, they have their main striker back for this game, and he should get some good service from the likes of Hazard and Fabregas in midfield. A concern for them is the absence of Kante, who does an excellent job of screening the defence, and this will give Roma hope of scoring against them

Roma drew 0-0 at home to Atletico Madrid and won 2-1 at Qarabad to sit second in the group on four points. They have done well domestically, where they have won five of their seven games, and sit 5th on the table, but are nine points behind leaders Napoli. who they lost to on the weekend. Roma have Dzeko in form as he has been consistently scoring for them, but Chelsea will be familiar with him from his days at Manchester City, while El Shaarawy returns for this game, and he too is someone who can score goals for them. Ultimately, expect Chelsea's manager Conti to be familiar with how Roma play, and should put a game plan to together to win the game. However the absence of Kante makes their team weaker, and Napoli showed against Manchester City yesterday, that Serie A teams can make it difficult for the Premier League teams. While Roma can score here, Chelsea have that bit more class about them, and like them to edge this
