Real Madrid vs Tottenham by Pacifier

Real Madrid are exactly where they want to be in the champions league with two wins from two. They beat Apoel by 3-0 at home on matchday one and came out victorious in a tricky away tie to Dortmund by 3-1. They now face another team with maximum points at the Bernabeu and a victory here would almost certainly guarantee there participation in the next round. Madrid have not been entirely convincing with the manner of their performances of late but it has not stopped them from winning five of the last six games. Star forward Cristiano Ronaldo should start upfront but former Tottenham forward Gareth Bale will miss a reunion with his old employees. Keylor Navas and Carvajal are also doubts for this game.

Tottenham will hope to qualify for the next phase and have put themselves in a promising position with six points from a possible six in this group. They beat Dortmund impressively on match day one at Wembley by 3-1 and followed that up with a 3-0 win away at Apoel Nicosia and would definitely try and avoid defeat here against a struggling Real side. In form striker Harry Kane should lead the line in a 3-4-2-1 formation with Son and Eriksen providing support behind him. Dele Alli is unavailable as he is serving the last of his 3 match ban. Jan Vertonghen returns from injury though and should give the team a lift on the left side of the pitch with Ben Davies missing out and Rose being unfit. Moussa Dembele could return for this game but Lamela, Wanyama and Nkoudou are all ruled out.

Madrid have been made heavy favourites and it is hard to see why. They are not playing on top of their game at the moment, they are not scoring enough goals and Benzema is not scoring much and they cannot continue to rely on Cristiano Ronaldo for long. Tottenham on the other hand has been dominant away from home winning all five away game played this season and scoring at least twice in all of them.

Tottenham should not be underrated for this game and I tip them to take a point away from this game. A result that will probably suit both

Erm so you suggest Real will verse Tottenham and these will end the game in a draw in Bernabeu. You go further in expecting us to put money on it. Could the odds of 5.10 be interpreted as 'unlikely'?

There is nothing wrong with this pick as such, BUT the stake is all wrong, max 3 units on this. You dont want to bet against Real at the moment. Even if I dislike the team and that Ronaldo prima ballerina even more, I have to admid they are the best team at the moment.

JamesK, you can't say Real Madrid being the best team at the moment. They are struggling in la liga. There was nothing convincing in their latest against Getafe. They may become the best team again, but so far in this season they have been somewhat out of form. And it is okay, it happens to all teams. Even to the Bayern M in their easy bundesliga that they win every season.

I trust Real Madrid to win this one. I hope they won't though since I have been surprised how well British teams perform this season in this league (well count out Liverpool). Tottenham will score here, but I am not sure it will be enough even to a draw.

Best to be avoided.

1 half should be tough for real madrid draw but at end real madrid should edged.if tottenham would park the bus like real betis it should be able draw. However pochetino is not good at parking the bus.

@Bannion. Yes I can say Real is the best team and I will stick to my opinion :) ( All in good humor and no disrespect to you ). But seriously I was talking about in general in last few years and in my opinion at the moment the best. 3 times the champion in last 4 years, and when have they lost a home game in Champions League the last time? So they dont win every game, but really impressive team. Betting wise I too think 1.45 for Real to wins is just too low odds.

Like Bannion said best to be avoided, there are other better games to bet on.
