Strasbourg vs Marseille by Pacifier

After starting the season brightly with four points in three games, Strasbourg went on a four game losing streak before battling to a hard earned 1-1 draw with Dijon on the last match day. They now face a stronger challenge and they will seek to remain unbeaten here to keep up momentum. They sit in the 19th position with five points from eight games and have scored six goals and conceded fourteen. They have only managed three in their last six .

Marseille will return to 3rd place on the log with a victory tonight and they will absolutely fancy their chances against one of the weaker teams in the division. After losing heavily to both Rennes by 3-1 and Monaco 6-1, they have picked up form and have won the last three games Nice, Toulouse and Amiens scoring at least twice in those games. Luis Gustavo and Ocampos are both unavailable and coach Rudi Garcia could change back to a 4-3-3 formation with Payet, Thauvin and Njie occupying the attack line. Valerie Germain is another option to lead the line if a more traditional centre forward is needed. The defense line has settled after having a difficult start and should do a good job here even if Abdennour is declared unfit for this game.

Marseille have leapt into third place which should be the aim for the season and cannot afford to drop points here with a game against PSG coming up next. I believe they have enough to get the victory here especially against a team as weak as Strasbourg, the away team will get all three points today.
