Espanyol vs Levante by Dajkula
Both teams had tough matches and Espanyol lost to Real and Barcelona but had enough to take a point against Sevilla and Villareal. Most of the points are again taken at home with wins over Celta 2:1 and Deportivo 4:1. There was a surprise loss to Leganes though but at the start of the league. Espanyol has lost 1 of the last 4 and it was away at Real 0:2. Piatti and Moreno have been in really good form of late but Piatti is questionable for today.
Levante was the surprise package early on as they collected wins over Villareal, Sociedad and draws against Real and Valencia. Truth be told they had a great deal of luck against Real and Valencia and should have lost them both. We are yet to see Levante perform on the same level on the travels as they do at home where they played even 5 games so far. The last two matches showed nothing good for Levante as they were put on hold offensively and managed just 1 shot on frame. Against the opponents of similar strength they lost easily with Betis 4:0 and Alaves 0:2. This will be only the third match away for Levante and I guess that 2 week break came in handy. I see them struggling again though as they always did on this ground.
The hosts will be without: Víctor Sánchez(mid.4-0), Javi López(def.2-0) and Marc Navarro(def.2-0).
Levante is missing: Roger Martí(0-0, top scorer last season), Iván López(def.3-0), Jason(att.5-0) and Samu García(mid.5-0).
Espanyol: Lopez; Martin, Lopez, Hermoso, Sanchez; Darder, Fuego; Piatti, Jurado, Baptistao; Moreno
Levante: Fernandez; Lopez, Postigo, Rodriguez, Tono; Campana, Lerma; Ivi, Bardhi, Morales; Alegria
Espanyol is set to fortify their ground again this season and weaker team will be put to the test. Levante hasn`t show to have the game for the road and are subdued offensively lately. I see them losing this match.
