Jerv vs Sandnes by Saconex
Norwegian OBOS League (2nd level)
Jerv (11) vs Sandnes (3)
Jerv haven’t been as good as expected this season, and they still need more points to be safe (6 points down to playoff atm). They are coming from 1-1 vs Asane (13) and before this they lost the tough local derby at home vs Start (2). Are standing with 3-4-4 at home this season, and with 2 straight home losses I think the win will come again here. No reported missings for the hosts.
Sandnes are placed 4 points behind a direct promotion spot. They haven’t lost in 9 matches (4-5-0) but didn’t manage to win vs Levanger (8) at home last time out. Are standing with 5-3-3 away record so far. They are missing some key players today, Kjell Rune Sellin (11 goals) & midfielder Tomas Kristoffersen are both suspended, they will surely be missed for the guests.
* The reverse fixture ended with a 0-3 Jerv win back in June.
* Last season Jerv won both matches vs Sandnes.
At their best, Jerv are a very good & solid team, specially at home. Taking that in mind + the fact that they aren’t missing any players today, I consider them as favourites here. They still need points to get away from the bottom, and they are way to good to get relegated anyway. I guess Sandnes are happy with 1 point here, but they will probably have to stand against a high pressure from the hosts. I think Jerv will win this one, their 4th straight win against Sandnes.
