Middlesbrough entertain Burton Albion at the Riverside Stadium in round 3 after a low key start to their season of high expectation.

The hosts were relegated from the Premier League last season so quite rightly are one the favourites for promotion. With new manager Gary Monk at the helm and new signings including Assombalonga, the Teesiders certainly have the personnel to get them back there. After a disappointing opening day defeat away to Wolverhampton they hit back in style with a good home win over Sheffield United, a side who could potentially challenge for a play-off spot.

Burton Albion are without doubt favourites for the drop this season and 2 defeats from 2 suggests this could be a very tough season for Nigel Clough's men. Especially after many pundits suggested they over achieved last season by surviving for a 2nd season in the 2nd tier. Recruitment over the summer months has been hard and they're offering very little goal threat at the moment.

Burton will be without Jackson Irvine, their only league scorer so far this season, who was sent off in their 4-1 defeat to Hull City and Stephen Warnock should be missing as well. Middlesbrough will have the luxury of a near full squad for their 2nd home game in 3 days and are quite rightly big favourites for the 3 points here.

Blieve me, Burton are a big trap! This may even go to a draw.
