Everton vs Stoke City by SPC22

Everton
VS
Stoke-City
Both teams had a very interesting offseason. In Liverpool, the Toffees had to handle the loss of topscorer Romelu Lukaku who moved to Manchester United. Also Deulofeu (to Barcelona) McGeady (to Sunderland), Kone (to Sivasspor) and Cleverley (to Watford) found new teams. Everton spent the money for some very good new players: Klaassen (Ajax), Ramirez (Malaga), Rooney (ManUnited), Martina (Southampton), Keane (Burnley) and Pickford (Sunderland). In my opinion especially Rooney and the very good Klaassen will bring Everton to a new level. Although the loss of Lukaku will hurt the the club I think they will manage to handle the new situation. They already had to games in the UEFA Europa League against Ruzomberok. Everton played two solid games and deserved it to go to the next round. I think those two games will be an important factor for the season opener because they are in game mode already.

For Stoke City it was an interesting summer as well. Arnautovic and some other key players left the club and moved to West Ham United. Arnie was the most important player for Stoke and his loss will hurt them a lot. Although they got Choupo-Moting on their roster, he won't be a big factor for the season opener because it's just one week ago that he joined the club. Stoke didn't start well the last seasons and it seems probable that it will be the same this year. They didn't have good results in the pre-season. They have problems bringing the new guys together.

The season already has begun for Everton and they managed to have a very good roster. Stoke, on the other hand, will need a few weeks to be ready for the league. The Toffees are looking for a home win in the season opener and I think it won't be a problem for them. Everton to win.
