Wiener Sportklub vs Ebreichsdorf by SPC22
Wiener Sportklub had no game in the first round, so it is their start into the season. They'll welcome ASK Ebreichsdorf, who are one of the title candidates this year and became 6th last season. For many experts, Ebreichsdorf is one of the hottest teams in the league. In Summer they managed to make their roster bigger and better. Pollack (Sportklub), Gusic, Balzer (both very good and from Stadlau), Redzic (Donau) and the former Bundesliga pro Ibser (Mattersburg) joined the club. They also got a new coach: Zeljko Ristic. Ristic had enormous success from his first week on. After a tremendous cup fight against Bundesliga club Austria Wien (really close 0:1 loss after penalties) he coached his team to a win against Stripfing (1:0, friendly game but Stripfing is a very good team with Regionalliga level) and a win in the season opener against Schwechat (3:0). Ebreichsdorf dominated this game from the very first minute on and didn't have any problems to let the 3 points in Ebreichsdorf. Of course, it was easier after one player of Schwechat was sent off the pitch.
As I mentioned before it is the season opener for Wiener Sportklub. They changed the roster on many positions. In the defense only Kraus and König are still playing for Sportklub. Gallhuber, Fila, Steiner and Pfaffl are new to the team. Also Pajaczkowski (midfielder), Karacan, Beljan, Pecirep, Hadzikic and Luxbacher (all offensive players) should help the team to make the offense better. Sportklub struggled in the preseason - due to many transfers. The players are working to get knowing each other better, but it will need some more time till everything works out fine. They lost against Ried (second level) in the Austrian Cup (4:0) and had not really good results in the friendlies against Donaufeld and Stadlau. Bad news for Sportklub are that Kilka, Steiner, Kracher, Mansbart (probably their best striker) and Fila are injured. Those absences will hurt the team. Especially Kracher, Mansbart and Fila are very important for the performance of the team. Furthermore the win in a season opener was back in 2009. Since then Sportklub lost 6 season openers and got just one draw.
Therefore I'll take Ebreichsdorf to win for decent odds of 2.50 at William Hill.
