Watford are without Deeney for this game, but should have new signing Gray to give them some threat up front. However they also miss Kabasale and Cathcart, and given their depth, missing these three players will make it hard for them to hold out Liverpool. Watford have never won their last four opening fixtures of the Premier League and finished last season off with six losses which included a 5-0 home loss to Man City and a 1-0 home loss to Liverpool. Their preseason form has been solid with 0-0 draw with Real Sociedad and Aston Villa, while they had 1-0 wins over Eibar and Viktoria Plzen but this will be a huge step for them

Liverpool seek to win their fourth straight opening fixture as they go into this game without Coutinho, Lallana and Clyne, but such is their depth they have plenty of quality to overcome this. New signing Salah has looked good in preseason, and Mane is back for them, while youngster Alexander-Arnold has been solid for them. Their preseason has seen some very good wins over Bayern Munich, Hertha Berlin and Athletic Bilbao, while they also beat Leicester and Crystal Palace so they are looking to start the season off with a bang. Liverpool's away form has been a concern last year, but they did finish off with four away wins and they kept clean sheets in three of them. Their defence has done well in preseason as they did not concede to the two German sides. While Coutinho is a big loss for them, they still have Firminho to provide the creativity in midfield, while expect the defence to hold out Watford who do not look that threatening up front.pin
