Utrecht had a great season last year finishing fourth in the league but that success meant that other teams were interested in getting their players. Consequently, their three top goalscorers from last season, Haller, Zivkovic and Barazite, and thy were responsible for half of their goals last season. They should come into the game match ready having already played four Europa League matches and two of those ended 0-0, inlcuding an away trip to Malta where they played Valletta. Both second legs, however, did have four goals in them. They will be hoping that their new forward, Dessers, will help to replace the loss of their main goalscorers from last season. He scored 22 goals for NAC Breda in the Eerste division and he scored in his last game against Lech Poznan in the Europa League, so he's off the mark. They play Zenit in the Europa League next week, so there's always a chance they will have one eye on that game, especially so early on in the season.
Den Haag were just four points above the relegation play-off places last season and they had one of the worst attacks in the league and they have lost their four top goalscorers from last season over the Summer. I like a couple of their new signings though like Immers and Hooi. I was really impressed with Hooi over the Summer when he played for Curacao in the Caribbean Cup and the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
I think both attacks may struggle in this game as both teams look to find goals after losing their go to players in that regard, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a game that doesn't have many goals.
