Sandefjord (8) vs Sogndal (13)

Sandefjord are coming from a very good performance in their last match away vs Stabaek (7), ending with a 1-3 win. This team was expected to fight against relegation this season, and obviously in such a tight league as this that mission is not complete yet, but things looks good for sure. At the moment its 10 points down to the relegation zone, and the 2 straight wins was very important. Sandefjord are standing with a home record of 4-2-2 and goal difference of 12-8. Defender Alexander Gabrielsen reported doubtful for this.

Sogndal haven't been able to win much lately. They started the second half of the season with a 2-1 loss away against Odd (6) last week, and although the team played against good teams as Rosenborg (1) before the summer break, they wasn't even close to win in many of those matches. At the moment this looks like a team that will have to fight hard to stay away relegation. With only 1 win last 6 matches, they have to turn it around to keep teams as Kristiansund (14) & Viking (15) away. They are standing with a away record of 1-3-5 this season. Kjemhus, Sveen and defenders Utvik, Psyche & Waehler are all reported doubtful/injured for the guests and are one of the reasons for my pick.

* Sogndal won the reverse fixture 3-2 in June, after a late winning goal (90 min).

A win in this match will be highly valued for both teams. It is fair to expect a tight match, but Sandefjord looked very good in their last match, so 3 straight wins for the hosts should absolutely be possible. Sandefjord also knows that a win here can be crucial to avoid relegation & it will give them a 5th place in the league before rest of the teams are playing this round. I think the hosts will continue their great run & win this match in front of their fans.
