Brest
VS
GFC-Ajaccio
Brest started the season with 2 defeats but weren’t so bad as the results can suggest. At Ajaccio they played also against the referee who penalized them with an extremely easy red card at the end of the first half and forgot to give them a penalty at 1-0 for Ajaccio. They had problems in defense, new GK Fabri making his 2nd capital mistake at one of Ajaccio goal, after making mistake at second goal scored by Chateauroux (in first round). Fabri was one of the best man of Bourg Peronnas and is a bit intriguing to see them making these silly mistakes. Anyway, he got an injury and will miss some weeks. This missing along with CD Chardonnet injury will create additional problems to Brest. They were knock out from Coupe de la Ligue by Paris FC after penalties (0-0 in regular time), using a team with only 4 starters

As expected, somehow, under Cartier, GFC shown to be more defensive minded than in previous season. True is in previous round they host Lorient, one of the promotion contender, so no wonder why played more defensively. They got a 0-0 after a game slightly dominated by Lorient. And the difficult schedule continues with this difficult trip so expect nothing else than a similar game as against Lorient. They lost important defender Diedhiou who was transferred at Mouscron Belgium. They passed Creteil in Coupe de la Ligue after penalties (0-0 after 90 mins), using a team with only 5 starters. No important missing in their camp.

With all those defensive missing (especially in Brest) expects some goals in both nets, keeping in mind GFC have some good strikers though (Diabate, Court and Armand ex Orleans). So, I’ll try over 2.75 goals. Gl
