Pumas UNAM vs Monterrey by PlayMaker
UNAM is one of the weakest team last season in Mexico Primera and this season seem to be similar. After narrow win against Pachuca in the 1st day, they had 2 consecutive loses in Apertura and between them is a draw 1-1 in away when visiting Celaya, a team from Liga Acenso (2nd level of Mexico Football). It's clear that they don't have a deep squad so I didn't see a lot of change in their games in Primera Division.
In other side, Monterrey form is decent so far. They had a goalless draw in away with Monarcas in open day of the league, as I reviewed yesterday Monarcas is a very uncomfortable opponent for all teams at the moment. After that, they had 3 wins in a row and until now they didn't concede a goal, so their defense look to be solid.
Because this is a game in Mexico Cup so as usual, both team will rotate more or less the squad. However, the squad B of Monterrey is surely much better than UNAM. Moreover I see that Monterrey always keep at least 3 positions of the defense in recent games. UNAM scored at least a goal in all of their 4 games this season, but I can't believe that they can score against a very solid defense of Monterrey.
