Carolina Panthers vs Houston by FairPlayBet

Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans will meet here in first of the 4 games that each will play in this NFL preseason. The game will take place in Carolina's home, Bank of America Stadium Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Texans have finished both of the previous two seasons with solid 9-7 overall record. So, not too good but far this was modest. In both of the mentioned season they have won the titles in their AFC South Division.

The Panthers have had two pretty much different previous years. First in 2015 they went amazing 15-1 and then also almost went all the way in the playoff. Were stopped only in Superbowl from Denver Broncos. But 2016 was not exactly successful year for Cam Newton and the rest of the Panthers. 6-10 was below all expectation. Now Panthers hope to bounce back.

In any case, both teams have big expectation for upcoming 2017 season.

In this first game of the preseason, Newton probably wont play or maybe some very small time for him. But Carolina has now two solid backups on the quarterback position. Those are Joe Webb as well Derek Anderson. Both are very experienced and we will see who will have the chance here to start. In any case, I do not think it will affect much absence of Newton, Carolina can score here a lot no matter Houston was leader leader in defense last season. Cause this is still only a preseason. I really do not see now some too big effort in defense on any side and risking possible injuries. BTW, Houston will start this game with rookie quarterback, Deshaun Watson.

The bottom line is, I expect from both sides to score just near or maybe even above 20 pts in this game.
