After a terrible day yesterday (especially on tennis), I'm back as I will not lose my confidence only because of two bad tips. ATP Montreal continues with some very interesting matches scheduled for today. Let's analyse Lorenzi against Tiafoe.

Paolo Lorenzi is a very old player (35 years old) that had not big results during his carreer and that likes to play on clay. In fact, after the grass season, he played 3 clay courts tournaments in Umag, Gstaad and Kitzbuhel. After making the finals in Croatia, he lost early in the other two tournaments. On hard courts, he suffer a lot as his style of play is clearly adapt to clay and his results this year show his weakness on this surface. In fact, he won only 4 matches out of 11 played and 5 of his losses came in straight sets.

Francis Tiafoe, on the other hand, is in a poor form as he is struggling to win a match even on hard courts. After the grass season, he played in Washington and Atlanta losing in the first round against Millman and Kokkinakis. We have to say that he was very unlucky in both matches as he lost in the 3rd set tiebreak against Millman and in two tiebreaks against Kokkinakis. Tiafoe is a decent player on this surface...his serve helps him a lot and he is clear favourite against a typical clay court player.

Despite his bad moment of form, I prefere to bet on Tiafoe with asian handicap -2.5 games. Even if he lost both matches on hard courts, he played very good and he deserved more. Also, his opponents were much more better than Lorenzi on this surface. I prefere to bet on games handicap as maybe Tiafoe can lose a set with small difference (especially on tiebreak) but he should win 3 games more than the italian in this match.
