Crewe vs Bolton by Sebmc
Last week-end they made a draw 2-2 against Mansfield Town.
Like the majority of the small clubs, Crewe will play this Cup thoroughly to compete against the best British formations.
Last season, Crewe has eliminated Championship Sclub heffield United in extra time (1-2). In the following round, they had fallen to Blackburn, who played in the Championship, still at the end of the extra time (4-3).
Coach David Artell will be able to rely on a full strength for this meeting. For sure, he will line up his typical team!
Bolton surprinsingly finished 2nd of League Two last season. Contrary to its main rivals, Bolton can not pay the smallest euro in transfer this summer and is not allowed to pay more than £ 4,500 per week his players.
Despite this, Bolton managed to retain his main player, to recruit free players and to get several free loans. Last season's starters Adam Le Fondre, Andy Taylor and Sammy Ameobi joined the club definitely. Josh Cullen, Reece Burke (West Ham) and Adam Armstrong (Newcastle) were loaned to the Wanderers. Finally, Will Buckley, Mark Little, Stephen Darby arrived free from Championship and League One clubs.
The start of the season was difficult for Bolton who lost last Saturday at home vs Leeds (2-3). Phil Parkinson lost two major players during the game. Defender David Wheater (43/9 last season) and midfielder Josh Vela (46/9) came out injured and will miss this trip. They joined Sammy Ameobi in the infirmary.
The coach Phil Parkinson said after the meeting that he was going to set up a large turnover in Crewe. He does not have a deep team.
I think that Crewe is able to win this one and to qualify for the next round.
