Young vs Paire by Stanioooo
Well, these two players have two meetings and everyone has a win. Paire's win is in Casablanca on clay in 2012, while Young's success is in Miami this year on hard courts. I think Young is a slight favourite here, not only because he will have a lot of supporters in the crowd as Canada and USA are neighbour countries, but also he played in two tours after the grass season in Atlanta and Washington, although his results were not impressive beating twice Smyczek, but losing to Lacko and Nishikori. Still I expect to have an advantage over Paire. The French player also played in two tours after Wimbledon, but they were in Europe on clay, so this will be his first match on hard courts after Miami Masters, where he lost to Young. His results were awful in Umag and Hamburg, so I really don't expect a lot from him.
Young is not my favourite player for sure and I don't think he will progress a lot in this Masters, but still he is capable of reaching 2nd or 3rd round. In next round possible opponents are Pouille or Donaldson,so his chances are not bad for a meeting with Thiem in the 3rd round. That's just the draw and nothing is sure, but if we only speak about Young and Paire, I'm with the American.
