Portland vs LA Galaxy by Filipson

Portland
VS
LA-Galaxy
This game smells like goals a lot, and I hope these two teams won't disappoint. It is a clash between two sides with very weak defences and fairly good attacks, so it is pretty reasonable to expect goals. Portland Timbers have been in a changable form lately, playing many draws along the way, and it looks like they have a hard time finishing the game and turning things to their advantage. They have been creating many, many chances, scoring regularly, but their defence just cannot hold. The hosts have been playing some great games over the last months, as 8 from their last 9 matches have ended this way, with at least 3 goals and both sides scoring. It is a fenomenal record and this game simply promises even more than some of those previous ones. There have been 3.3 goals per average in Portland's matches, and 15 from all 23 have seen 3 or more goals. The hosts have some serious problems in assembling their defence, as Okugo, Ridgewell, Farfan and Myers are all ruled out, so that increases the chances of this bet even more.

LA Galaxy are now under the new coach, Sigi Schmid, who will try turning things around with LA Galaxy and help the team get more points. He ended the terrible run in the last round, playing a draw against Seattle, but that match ended 0:0, which was very unexpected. The visitors are one of the most crazy teams in MLS, with more than 3 goals per match and even 15 out of 21 games with at least 3 goals. They are very unpredictable, and sometimes can be trashed with 4 or 5 goals, but sometimes they can easily win on the road with many goals scored. However, their mathes never lack excitement and I believe they will be pumped up under the new coach to start taking points. The best proof of how amazing their games are are their away performances. From all 11 away games, even 10 have ended with at least 3 goals and both times scoring, surely something we don't get to see very often. This tells us we can most likely expect another games like that, especially given the fact they are facing a side like Portland. They will be without the midfield duo Husidic and Lledget, while the defender Van Damme got his 3rd red card this season which is quite unbelievable, so their defence will be vulnerable for sure.

I expect a lot from this game and everything points to an efficient encounter. Good luck!
