Sela vs Ebden by Marci

My other match from Qualifications for Masters in Montreal will be a match between Dudi Sela (74.) from Israel and Matthew Ebden (154.) from Australia. This is even match in which both side can win and one of those challenger level players will play on second to biggest stage.

Both had easy opponents in first round, Canadian players ranked 700+ and as Ebden did it with ease 6-3 6-1, Sela had bit more problems 7-5 6-3. Sela won 2 challenger tournaments and is overall if we look at whole season in better form and had outstanding win on WImbledon in 5 sets vs Isner and since retiring in next round of Wimbledon he played 2 tournaments in which he won against Kravchuk and lost against Sock and Donaldson.

Ebden played very well in last 2 tournaments where he reached final of ATP Newport (2-0 for Isner) and in Los Cabos reached 2nd round through qualifications where Feliciano Lopez was better. Matthew Ebden is playing hot and cold, but is in good form and doesnt deserve this high odds so in even match in which both players enjoy playing on faster surfaces and with Sela not looking very well on his serve against Monette yesterday, i have to try for value on 29 years old Australian.
