Anderson vs Sock by Stanioooo

That's the 1st SF match in Washington between Kevin Anderson and Jack Sock.

The home player plays fantastic during this tournament and won his three matches without a lost set. 7-5 6-4 against Raonic was the best one, while the other opponents who were eliminated by him, were Jared Donaldson and Marius Copil. He is so strong and hard for elimination when he's condifent in himself on the court and it looks like this is his week, he's ready for the big final and why not for the title. Jack Sock won two titles during 2017 in Delray beach and Auckland, so why not here in Washington to be his third for the season..

His opponent Kevin Anderson has big 1st serves but his movement on the court is not that good because of his height and Jach Sock can easily use that with some drop shots and volleys on the net. His way to the SF wasn't so easy- beat in straight sets Malek Jaziri, then survived the big test against Thiem in three-sets match, while against Yuki Bhambri he had some problems and lost the second set. His hard-court season is really disappointing till now and this SF is like an impressive achievement for Kevin.

Head to head Sock is leading 2:1 against Anderson. I think Sock's wins after this SF match will become three. Playing game difference or wins in straight sets in Sock's matches is craziness, cause he's able to lose one of the sets to 0 or 1 and still win the match. His ups and downs are so typical for him, maybe that's why he's not in top 10, although he has the potential to be there. I'm just going with Sock to win here, no matter in straight sets or in three. Bookies make Anderson a slight favourite here with odds 1.80 to 2.00 for Sock, but I think Sock is the player who has to be the favourite for going into the final match.

Good luck!

Sorry, guys! Anderson won the match, but Sock had a slight injury which influenced his performance.. he had 5 break points and used 0 of them, while Anderson was almost perfect in this conditions- 2/4. Anderson deserved to be the first finalist, but it would be different if Sock could show his best :))
