After their promotion from the J League 2 into Japan's top tier Cerezo Osaka have taken everyone by suprise and find themselves at the top of the league after 20 games. So far since their promotion they have only lost thrice, with all those defeats coming on their travels. At home they an excellent record of 8 wins and two draws and they remain unbeaten. However, they come into this game off the back of a 3-1 defeat in the Osaka derby but prior to that they were unbeaten in their last nine games, winning eight of those matches and drawing one. Their astonishing run of form has seen them climb to second in the division's form table and today they host the side rock bottom in the away form table.
The home side have scored a huge 26 league goals in their 11 games at home and are guaranteed goal; they have scored at least once in their last ten games.
Their opponents Sapporo are, unfortunately for them at the other end of the league table. They are a very strange side and see to be a totally different outfit at home and totally useless away. At home they have managed to rack up 17 points and in total they have 19. Their ten away games have yielded just two points all season with eight defeats. The troubles for them grow even more when you see that they have only scored seven goals in their ten away games but have conceded 20 at an average of two goals per game. Prior to their 2-2 away draw at fellow strugglers Omiya Ardija they had lost their last four away games scoring just once.
I think the home win is a certainty in this game and the odds of 1.60 are rock solid value. However, I will look to double our stake in the hope that they can overcome the -1 deficit as they are a team that score goals freely.
