Apollon vs Aberdeen by Hassy
Aberdeen will go into the game knowing that they have the confidence of scoring goals on their travels, they have netted in seven of their last 10 Euro road trips which gives me confidence of an away goal tonight.
Adam Rooney has not travelled with the Aberdeen squad for Thursday's Europa League third qualifying round second leg against Apollon Limassol. The striker, 29, has a thigh injury and will try to regain fitness in time for the Dons' Scottish Premiership opener against Hamilton Academical on Sunday.
Apollon are very strong at home. They have lost only once in 23 matches, although some of that disadvantage has been taken away by UEFA moving the tie to Larnaca due to ground regulations. That being said with the heat and humidity I expect a very tough night for The Dons and cant see them keeping Apollon out for 90 minutes. They have also scored in their last 23 matches on the trot which gives me confidence of them scoring. However, Derek McInnes' side have exited the competition at this stage in each of the last three seasons and will desperate not to do so once again. That means an away goal is a must and with the odds slightly above evens I expect that price to shorten throughout the day.
