APOEL Nicosia vs Viitorul by Stanioooo
The weather in Cyprus tomorrow will be extremely hot(35 degrees or even more), so I don't think teams will rush into attacks from the start of the match, maybe they will try to save power to withstand the heat. Yeah, the home team is maybe more adapted to this kind of weather, but their passive from the 1st leg is not so big, pnly 1:0, so their main job is not conceding a goal tomorrow.
APOEL are one of the competition’s surprise packages in recent years with numerous appearances at the group stages and they have also reached the Quarter-finals recently in CL. They know exactly how to handle these kind of matches and win them. They had some problems against Dudelange, but succeeded to win both games by 1:0. Vitorul is much harder opponent and they proved that in the 1st leg where they played much better than APOEL. It looks like the Cyprus side wanted the goalless draw, but couldn't stop Cristian Ganea, who scored in 75th minute. Well, there are some good news for APOEL, cause Viitorul's main striker Marius Tucudean was sent off in the extra time of the first match and tomorrow he won't take part. Viitorul have a very limited level of experience in Europe. The club was only founded in 2009 and clinched their first title last season and subsequently qualified for the Champions League for the first time in their history. Their only previous European tie was last season when they were knocked out in the Europa League 3rd Qualifying Round by Gent. Viitorul held the Belgians to a goalless draw at home, but away from their own stadium lost 5-0. That’s undoubtedly a bad sign for their chances tomorrow.
I'm so confident APOEL will find the way to win this match tomorrow but they have to be really careful about not conceding a goal. The red card of Viitorul's main striker will help them a lot, but they just have to play a clever match- match for so many millions euro! I think the experience will prevail tomorrow and expect something like 1:0 or 2:0.
