Chapecoense vs Atletico GO by Saconex

Brazil Serie A

Chapecoense (11) vs Atletico GO (20)

Chapecoense are coming into this match with high confidence, after a win on penalties vs Argentinian team Defensa y Justicia in the Copa Sudamericana. Before this they also won in the away match vs Vitoria (19) in the league. So, with 3 wins in their last 4 matches things are starting to look better again. They had a great start of the season, but were in really bad shape in June. Chapecoense will get back Fabricio Bruno & Lucas Mineiro from suspension here, but they will miss defender Douglas Grolli to suspension. Nenem, Nadson, Osman, Joao Pedro, Andrei Alba & Amaral are all unavailable.

Atletico Goianiense are the weakest team in the Brazilian Serie A and haven’t won in their last 9 matches (0-3-6). They are standing with 2-3-11 all season and a goal difference of 13-29. But, they are coming from a decent result vs Botafogo (7) at home last, ending 1-1. The team haven’t won a single match on their travels, and have only managed to score 3 goals, away record; 0-1-6 and 3-17 goal difference. There is no reports of missing players for the guests.

It seems like Chapecoense have found their form again, and specially in defence they look very solid at the moment. Taking that in mind, I don’t think the weakest team in the league will manage to score here. So I expect Chapecoense to continue their run of victories in the league in a controlled way.pin
