Bray vs Finn Harps by MagicRat

There are an average of 3.61 goals per game in Bray's matches this season and an amazing nine of their 23 matches have had over 3.5 goals which means that just over every 2 and half games they have had a game over 3.5 goals. This is great when you consider that we are getting 3.05 for it to occur again. The market did initially open with odds around the 2.50 mark which is perhaps a little low but I would put it around 2.75-2.80, so I like the value we are getting here.

Four of their last eight matches have had over 3.5 goals and four of their home matches have done so. They are vulnerable at the back and they have conceded two or more goals in each of their last eight matches and they have done the same in each of their last five home matches.

Finn Harps have the fourth highest goals in their game in terms of an average with 2.91 goals and six of their 22 matches have had over 3.5 goals. Crucially, four of those six have come in away matches. Their problem, like Bray, is stopping teams scoring. They have only kept three clean sheets all year.

I think both teams suffer defensively so there could well be a few chances presented to attacking players in this game. They have met two times this year with Bray wining 3-0 away from home and when they were at home there were plenty of goals as they won 5-3 and I can see there being goals again.

Just to add a little context to this game, or moreover the situation for Bray Wanderers at present. Bray have just announced financial stability, in a bizarrely comical fashion, after a whirlwind few months where it looked like they may drop out of the league.... and permit all their players to leave at the end of the season.

Their current chairman Gerry Mulvey is known for his exaggerated comments and here is the recent statement:

I think this will have a positive impact for Bray and they should win handsomely here..... though I dont expect Finn Harps to score. My guess is a 2 or 3 nil win for Bray.

But who knows what is around the corner for this club..... they could possibly win the CL in a few years ;)
