Bochum vs St. Pauli by SPC22
After 2 disappointing years Bochum finally wants to be a big player in the championship race. With their new coach Ismail Atalan they played a really good preseason with some solid results. He also introduced the new 3-2-3-2 system to the Bochum squad. Therefore you can't expect Bochum to be in perfect form yet because it always needs some time to handle a new system as a team. In the offense they improved a lot and got some new manpower: Diamantakos, Hinterseer and Kruse should give Bochum new and better possibilities to score goals.
St. Pauli also got a new coach during the summer break. His name is Olaf Janßen. It could be easier for him starting into his new job at Hamburg because Pauli played the best second leg in club history. It will be tricky to keep on rolling, but St. Pauli kept its roster together and shouldn't have many problems to have a good start into the season. Especially because they know how they should not do it after Pauli's terrible start last season. Their best transfer was Allagui who will be a big improvement for Pauli's offense.
I think both teams want to show their ambitions from the first game on and won't play too reserved. Therefore I'll take BTS & over 2,5 goals.
