Oriente-Petrolero
VS
Real-Potosi
After a one month break, bolivian football starts again with Clausura. Clausura will start with matchday 2. Let's analyse the only match scheduled for today between Oriente Petrolero and Real Potosi. This match will be played at 15.30 p.m. in Bolivia in the home team stadium Juan Carlos Durán. This match was supposed to be played at 20.30 p.m. but home team's stadium has not lighting systems so they decided to play during the afternoon.

Oriente Petrolero played very good in the "Apertura" tournament. Despite finishing with 3 losses in the last 5 matches, Oriente Petrolero was the 4th team in the league with 37 points after 22 matches played. They were strong especially when playing at home as they won 7 matches out of 11 played losing only twice. About 15 days ago, they played first leg in Copa Sudamericana against Atl. Tucuman. Despite playing at home, they were not able to take a positive result as they lost 2-3. That was a very disappointing loss and, at the moment, seems to be impossible to comeback for the bolivian side. Eduardo Villegas, Oriente Petrolero's coach was very optimistic. He said that his team is very motivated to start well this "Clausura" tournament and that they will try to win this match to boost their confidence for the 2nd leg in Copa Sudamericana. They will not have Galindo y Francisco Rodriguez while Freitas and Mostasilla are not ready to play the whole match. Quiñónez is in doubt as his grandfather died. I think that the only serious "handicap" in this absences is Freitas (6 goals in the Apertura) as Galindo, Francisco Rodriguez and Mostasilla have not played a lot of games this season. Since 21 September 2015, Oriente Petrolero won every single match played at home against Real Potosi by at least 2 goals of difference (4 matches played).

Real Potosi, on the other hand, finished 9th in Apertura. They were a good team at home (7 wins, a draw and 3 losses) but they were very poor when playing on the road. They were the worst team away from home as they won only a match out of 11 played losing 10 times!! 9 of these 10 defeats came with at least 2 goals of difference. Also, their offense is ridicolous...they were able to score only 6 goals in the 11 matches on the road conceding 34!! During the first week of pre-season, Troche (Real Potosi's coach) tried to improve physical appearance of his players while, after that, he tried to improve the offensive and defensive tactics. I think that there's nothing to improve there...Real Potosi is nothing special...they suffer a lot on the road (as showed during Apertura) and they will face one of the best teams in Bolivia today. During the last session of training, Troche tried an offensive 4-4-2 with Cuellar and Castellon leading the attack. It's useless to say that this can be a double-edged sword especially considering how is working their defense. Also, Oriente Petrolero have scored 24 goals in 11 matches played at home...I think that Potosi will concede 2,3 or even more goals today.

I think that Oriente Petrolero will dominate this game. They are very strong when playing in front of their fans and, as their coach said, they will be fully motivated to boost their confidence before Copa Sudamericana's second leg. Considering Real Potosi's results when playing away from home, I see value on asian handicap -1.25. Oriente Petrolero should be able to win with at least 2 goals of difference this match.
