Dinamo Zagreb vs Odd Grenland by Nilsinj
Dinamo Zagreb has just started their season and after two matches played they have six pts. A 2-0 win over Istra and a 4-0 win over Cibalia. Last match was played on friday so they have plenty of rest before this match. Since they finished off 2nd last year in the domestic league they jumped straight in to this round and no matches have been played out in the Europe this year. Yet, they have good traditions playing with the big clubs. Last year they manage to qualify to the Champions League but they had a tough time against Lyon, Juventus and Sevilla already in the group stage with zero goals scored and lost every match. As far as i can tell, M. Cvitanovic can pick from the whole squad as i can't find any reports about injuries.
Odd Grenland is well started with their season having their summer break right now. Meaning they only took a few days off before this match and should be very fit for this one. My only concern is the lack of quality as i think the difference between the two sides is quite huge. Odd is currently number 10 out of 16 teams in Eliteserien and haven't got the grip of it this whole season. Last seven matches in the domestic league have ended with 0-4-3 and gives room to question what have happen since last year? Seriously i don't know. They have kept their squad until now and for the norwegian standard they should be among the top teams if you ask me. More crucial is their selling this summer. On monday they sold their midtfielder Oldrup Jensen to Zulte Waregem. They have also sold Zekhnini to Fiorentina. Not the most crucial one but Pape Pate Diouf, midtfielder, will also be ruled out due to injury. I think the loss of Oldrup Jensen will show as he was a very important midtfielder for them. Zekhnini was had he's ups and down but certainly has his moments, an x-factor to put in from the bench if they where struggeling offensivly. Now with both of them gone Odd looks even weaker. Against Vaduz it was more like 50\50 who went through but after 2-0 on aggregate Odd manage to get through. Remember Vaduz is a team from Liechtenstein and isn't the best football nation to put it that way.
Now facing a good european side as D. Zagreb i think it will be tough, very tough. D. Zagreb is an excellent home side who could easily win this by many goals, wich is typical for them when playing on home soil. They want this spot and i think they want to be comfortable before going to Norway meaning they won't be happy until more balls are put back in the net. In my opinion there is several good options for this match. HT\FT could also be a good choice and i would also recommend the -2.0 AH at lower stakes.
