Del-Bonis
VS
Ferrer
Another very interesting match in Hamburg between Delbonis and Ferrer where I think that there is big value on David Ferrer to win in straight sets. The spanish player is in amazing form after winning Bastad and he should be able to win this game without big troubles.

Delbonis had to play qualification matches...she won in straight sets against De Schepper and Hernandez-Fernandez conceding 4 games in total (1 against De Schepper, 3 against Hernandez-Fernandez). In the first round, he started to have big troubles against a serious opponents as he won in 3 sets after 2:51 hours of tough battle against Berlocq.

Ferrer, on the other hand, won in 3 sets against Basilashvili. He lost the 2nd set only because Basilashvili decided to be the new king of clay for a set...he was absolutely perfect...when the magic stopped, Ferrer won easily in the 3rd.

These two players met 3 times (2 on clay) and Ferrer always won in straight sets. He showed that he has not big problems against Delbonis' style of play. They met last week and Ferrer won easily 6-3/6-4 in 1:43 hours. I'm expecting Ferrer winning again in straight sets here.pin

You will appear to be tipping solely based on your emotions which is not very good. Such tipping without the application of a balance of thought could get unsuspecting punters into real trouble. you have to realize that it is not always about the best player winning, but also about player physicality, tournament, time of the year, preparation, home advantage, the list goes on. unless in the case of the very top players, most head to heads between players in the top 100 and just outside, will show wins for both players such as 6-3, 7-2 4-1 etc. very rarely do you see 5-0, 7-0 etc. it tells you that players beat themselves in most cases. The favorite is normally the one who is deemed to have more chances of winning in that situation.

Ferrer is an old boy and has just managed to win a tournament last week week, where he beat Del Bonis in the first round. Very highly unlikely that he would beat him second time around by 2-0. Unlikely. One of the hardest things to do in mens tennis or in tennis generally, is to beat a player who has some sort of chance to beat you, back to back. The tip should really be Del Bonis to win a set or win match.
