Hapoel Beer Sheva vs Ludogorets by GlacialSpirit
Champions League - Qualification
The hosts are a formidable team. They come into this round after they dispatched Honved in two very entertaining encounters. The first game was at home and Hapoel managed to get a 2-1 victory. Not the best result letting an away goal slip in but after a 3-2 second leg victory it was more than enough. The team finished last season very strong in the domestic competition losing just 1 of its last 22 games. Hapoel head coach Barak Bakhar will have some problem to respond to. Former Barcelona man Isaac Cuenca is highly unlikely to feature as he is short on fitness. Another new signing Tomas Pekhart is also short on fitness but he is on individual training program and has better chances to play. Definitely out is former Chelsea striker Ben Sahar who is going to miss at least 2 weeks of action.
Ludogorets took a strong slap in their faces before eventually getting the result they wanted. The let Zalgiris to turn the first game around for a 2-1 full time score and were losing at home early with 1-0. The team though showed character and proceded to net 4 times for the final score of 4-1 and a 5-3 aggregate win. They also played one game in the domestic competition. Dermendzhiev rested all his key players despite the game being against CSKA-Sofia a team which has stated ambitions for the title. Despite playing their second team Ludogorets got an away victory with 1-0. Keseru who netted twice against Zalgiris is expected to be on the bench as head coach Dermendzhiev prefers to rely on speedy players when playing away from home. Therefore Misidjan is expected to start instead of Keseru and Cafu is likely to lead the line instead of playing on the wing. With Cafu, Marelinho, Misidjan and Wanderson the Bulgarian champions have a lot of creativity and pace up front.
This game looks like an evenly matched two legged encounter. Hapoel are slight favourites at home but with the Bulgarians sharp attackers it will be hard for them to keep a clean sheet. Ludogorets defensive line is not amongst their best qualities and is prone to letting easy goals slip in. Therefore my pick here is BTTS:Yes and over 2.5 goals for 2.62 at bet365. Good Luck!
