Another very interesting match in Atlanta between Quentin Halys and Gilles Muller where I'm expecting Muller to win in straight sets.

Quentin Halys is the number 134 in the world. After the grass season, he played a challenger in Recanati losing in the 3rd round (hard courts) and before the first round here in Atlanta, he had to play qualfiication matches. He was able to win against Nys in straight sets and against Novikov in 3 sets. He is a decent player on this surface but for lower tournaments. He plays mostly challengers with not great results.

Gilles Muller, on the other hand, is playing maybe his best tennis of his carrer. He was amazing on grass this season, especially in Wimbledon where he was able to win against Rafael Nadal losing only in the quarte final against Marin Cilic in 5 sets. Muller likes to play on hard courts...his serve is a big weapon and he should be able to win in straight sets this one.

It's true that this will be Muller's first match on hard courts after the grass season but I'm not afraid about this. There's big difference between these two players and these odds are a gift imo.
