Pirin Blagoevgrad vs Septemvri Sofia by GlacialSpirit
Pirin Blagoevgrad –Septemvri Sofia
Pirin started the season bringing a surprise. They went up against Europa League participants Botev Plovdiv away and got a priceless 0-1 victory. Botev played with most of their starters but were obviously keeping in mind their second leg against Beitar which went wonderfully well for them. Pirin looked compact at the back and were hitting hard on counters. Last season Pirin were one of the weakest away teams but at home they were playing stable.
Septemvri conceded a 2-0 defeat in their opening game. The newly promoted team faced last season pleasant surprise Dunav at home. The team doesn’t look like having a particular weakness but overall may need some more quality to compete on this level. They will be determined to get their first point in this league.
Last year Pirin showed a very stable home play and horrendous away record. This year they started well away and will be hoping to continue. The team is troubled financially and lost some of their main players and made minimal selection. It remains to be seen how well they will cope. Still even at home they were not from the most goalscoring teams. Septemvri will be also cautious. My pick here is under 2.5 goals for 1.67 at Bet365. Good Luck!
