Toronto are 1st in Eastern Conference with 39 points, and they will fight with Chicago for the top spot. They have been very good this season, picking up where they left off last year. They recorded only three losses this season, while at home they are still undefeated. Last time out they played 2:2 with New York City away from home, in a game with some controversial referee decisions. Toronto took the lead in 11th minute, but Villa made it level just before the break. Moralez brought hosts the lead in 56th minute, but after having goal dissallowed, Toronto managed to snatch a point when Vazquez converted penalty in the stoppage time. They missed number of important players in that game, as they will in this one too, but they have huge squad depth which is ready to fill out the absences. Altidore, Bradley, Cooper, Edwards, Morrow, Osorio and Ricketts are on international duty, while Beitashour and Hagglund are injured. Giovinco is questionable having picked up a knock last time put, but he should be ready.
Colorado are 10th in Western Conference with 19 points, and while they are not without a chance of reaching the play-offs, it is going to be hard for them considering their performances. After a period of struggle, they managed to put up a run of four straight wins, but they quickly got back to struggles. They have only one victory in the last four games, and all losses on the road. They were defeat in all of their eight trips, scoring three goals in total, and it doesn`t spell good for them coming up against one of the best home teams in the league. Last time out they lost to Seattle at home easier than expected. It was 3:1 for the visitors, with Sounders scoring in 6th minute and going on the break with a 2:0 lead. Second half was more about Seattle keeping their lead, and even though Colorado managed to pull one back, Dempsey made sure that Seattle keep all three points with his second goal of the game. Tim Howard is on international duty, while Burling is injured. Gatt and Sjoberg are questionable.
Despite numerous missings, Toronto are clear favourites here. They proved many times this season that they have huge squad depth which can make up for any axclusion, and they should do that here again. Colorado have only couple of absentees, but their team overall is way below Toronto in terms of quality. Toronto are undefeated at home, and on a streak of nine straight home wins, while Colorado didn`t manage to earn a single point on the road, having scored only three goals. Toronto managed to get a point without all of these players last time out against in-form New York City, and I can`t see how Colorado would stay undefeated here. Toronto are a more quality team, they are playing at home, and they need three points to keep themselves above Chicago. Therefore, I think they will get a comfortable victory here against far from impressive visitors.
