The last few weeks certainly has been one of the worst times that LA Galaxy has suffered in recent years. It's ok to lose but to lose in the manner of how LA Galaxy did, it pretty much sums up their post-Galacticos era so far. In the last game, they suffered a humiliating 6-2 home loss to Real Salt Lake (RSL), one of the worst performing team this season.

Whitecaps overturned a 2-1 deficit to beat New York City as their roller coaster season continues. The win sees them sit on the last playoffs spot in the Western Conference.

This two weeks break has come at a good time for LA Galaxy as reinforcements has arrived. Defender Daniel Steres and midfielder Jermaine Jones have both recovered and should at least be in the squad for this game. Gio dos Santos has return after his Confederations Cup duty with Mexico while one of their bright spot this season Romain Alessandrini is also fully fit again. Whitecaps defender Kendall Waston has been called up to the Costa Rica squad so he will join Russell Teibert, Marcel de Jong, Sam Adegkube and Canada wonderkid Alphonso Davies on the list of unavailable players.

If the 6-2 thrashing at home to RSL is not rock bottom, then I don't know what is. LA Galaxy coach Curt Onalfo seat is also getting hotter with every defeat (3 straight losses now), another winless game could see his butt go up in flames. With a healthier squad now, LA Galaxy should be able to put in a better performance at home to at least grind out a win.
