Real Madrid vs Bayern by Blackcrow

Real Madrid won 2-1 from the first leg and have two important away goals from that game. They can sit back and absorb the pressure from Bayern and then hit them on the counter, but that is not their style. Real will look to hit them hard and early and take advantage of their home crowd where they have scored at least two goals in ten of their last twelve home games (in all competitions). They have allowed goals in seven of these last twelve home games, and can see them conceding here as they are missing Varane and Pepe in the middle of their defence. Real have won 34 of their last 40 home games in the CL, and have beaten Bayern in 8 of their last 10 meetings.

Bayern need to attack from the outset and a 2-1 win ties this up, while a 3-1 away win gets them into the next round. However they have injury concerns of their own as they could be without Boateng, Hummels and Martinez. Bayern welcome back prolific goalscorer Lewandowski here and they look likely that they can score on Real. But their main concern is stopping Ronaldo. Bayern did beat Arsenal 5-1 in London so they can score goals on the road but can't see them doing enough to win the games for them. Like the home side to win this, and though it will be close, Real have some very good all-round players to edge this, even though Bayern will make a game of it. Both teams are likely to score as both sets of defence are likely to have players missing, but Real has that little bit extra touch of class about them
