Leicester vs Atletico Madrid by Blackcrow
Leicester were down 2-1 against Sevilla (who are 4th in the Primera Liga and three points behind Atletico Madrid) and fought back to win 2-0 and thus make it into this round to face Atletico Madrid. The home game against Sevilla saw their keeper Schmeichel have a huge game and made a number of important saves, including a penalty. Now he is expected to do the same again. However they are up against one of the best strikers in Europe (Griezmann) and without defender Huth who is suspended while their are fitness concerns about their other key central defenders Morgan and Benalouane, it will be a tough task to keep out the away side.
Atletico Madrid beat Bayer Leverkusen 4-2 in the first leg before drawing 0-0 with them at home to progress to this round. They have won six and drawn six of their last twelve games in all competitions, and have scored in eleven of these games. Normally they are pretty solid at the back, but they have allowed goals in seven of these twelve games. Expect the likes of Vardy to give them problems and can see them score here but the big advantage for Atletico Madrid is their experience in these types of games, as they have lost two finals in their last three seasons in the Champions League, and will look to give themselves a great shot of winning it this time if they can win here.
Leicester have won their last five games in all competitions at home, and scored at least two goals in each, but even though they face a very good defensive side, still expect them to concede one here but doubt that Leicester's own defence, potentially missing three key defenders, can keep them out. Both teams are likely to score here but Atletico Madrid can punish them on the counter as Leicester will need to chase the game if they are 1-0 down or it is 1-1.
