Struff vs Ruud by Keysersoze

Jan Lennard Struff takes on Casper Ruud in the first round of ATP tournament in Monte Carlo.

Struff come after tournament in Marrakech where he managed to make a good result and reached quarterfinal. Anyway he had a good draw on that tournament beating Daniel and Ahouda both out of top 100, while he lost to Kohlschreiber. Here he needed to play in qualifications, beat Mathieu and Herbert again players close to top 100, but Herbert is poor on clay, while Mathieu is not in his best form, he is 35 years old now and Struff even struggled against him. So I am not so convincing about Struff’s play considering that also clay is not his favorite surface.

Ruud is one of the most talented players on ATP tour. We have seen some good performances from him this season, he reached his first ATP semifinal on tournament in Rio De Janeiro. Clay is surface where we expecting the most from him, we have seen him making a big troubles to Carreno Busta in Rio, so I think we could see a good play from him on this tournament and he could surprise us. I haven’t expected such a high odds on him here, I think there is huge value on him and he surely could win.
