Middlesbrough has been winless since boxing day and last week they even failed to beat a poor away team like Burnley last week. They may have 6th best defensive record in the league but it's kinda of deceiving imo. Ex manager Aitor Karanka has always set up his team not to lose rather than to win or as the football punters called it park the bus tactic. They are always only hoping for a moment of magic to win their games. Now that they need to win games, they will need to open up and their defensive record will tumble as a result of that.

Arsenal is also struggling as of late. They have lost their last 4 away games but they have beaten poor teams like Hull, Swansea and Sunderland away this season. Does Middlesbrough have the attacking players to trouble Arsenal like how WBA or Crystal Palace did? I seriously doubt so. Like I mentioned above about their defence, they will need to open up which is likely to leave gaps. I believe no matter how poor Arsenal is, they should really be able to exploit them and get a win to stop their away losing streak.

I'd go for 1X in this one. Arsenal have become a very poor away team this season. And travelling up 240 miles north to Boro who is in need of any points will not be easy for Arsenal. In fact I find it quite hard on a monday night. I find no value in any bet on Arsenal, so I'd rather go for a desperate home team to earn a point or three.

BTTS is more safe!

Arsenal will win this for sure but a straight win is safer for a borough team that is plagued with relegation troubles.
