Shimizu S Pulse hosts Omiya Ardija in round 7 of the J 1 League. The hosts are the newcomers in the league but started pretty well. Their home games have been lost but they played the leaders Vissel Kobe and Kashima. Away from home Shimizu has showed potential and won matches over Hiroshima, Niigata and Kashiwa. The team had some absences but defender Kanu and keeper Nishibe are back in the squad. Today they will miss Ryo Takeuchi(mid.0-0), Yosuke Kawai(mid.1-0), Koya Kitagawa(att.3-0). The new captain Tae So Yong has been instrumental for Shimizu so far and scored 4 goals in 6 matches.

Omiya Ardija finished 5`th last year but they are not a shadow of their former self. From the first 6 matches they lost them all which makes them the absolute dissappointment so far. The attack has been horrible scoring just 1 goal so far while they conceded 10. Away from home Omiya has played two matches and lost to Tokyo and Kofu. For this match there will be no absences for Omiya.

The new side has shown some emphatic matches but only on the travels. Against Omiya they can win at home finally.
