Everton are 7th with 54 points. They have been in good form lately, having lost only two out of the last twelve games. Both defeats came on the road - 3:2 against Tottenham and 3:1 against Liverpool. Their home form has been impressive though, having won last seven league games while scoring 26 goals in process. After nearly winning at Old Trafford, in the last game they beat Leicester at home 4:2. It was a match packed with action, with five goals being scored in the first half. Davies gave Everton the lead in 1st minute, but Leicester have turned around the result by the 10th minute, with goals from Slimani and Albrighton. Lukaku levelled things up in 23rd, before Jagielka scored in 41st to send hosts on the break with lead. Second half was much less interesting, with Everton being completely in control, and after Lukaku scored his second in 57th minute, the game was pretty much over. Bolasie, Coleman, Lennon, McCarthy and Funes Mori will be absent due to injuries.
Burnley are 12th with 36 points. They are eight points from the drop zone, and even though they haven`t mathematically secured survival yet, they look pretty much safe. They have been in bad form lately, with their only win in the last ten competitive games coming against Stoke two weeks ago. Also, they are the only team in the league which hasn`t got a victory on the road this season. Last time out they played 0:0 with Middlesbrough away from home. It was a pretty even game, with both teams having their chances, despite what the result might suggest. However, neither side managed to take them, and Burnley surely left the game more satisfied. For this game they will miss injured Long and Marney.
Everton have been putting up some good performances lately, especially at home, where they have been beaten only once this season. Also, they have been very prolific lately, failing to score only once in the last sixteen competitive games. Burnley, on the other hand, are the worst visiting team in the league, and generally speaking they have been less than impressive lately. With all things considered, I can see only one outcome here, and that is Everton`s victory. And with Lukaku being in great form, and hosts having more quality team without any doubt, their win should be a comfortable one. Therefore, backing them with a -1 asian handicap looks like a right thing to do here.
