Anaheim vs Calgary by FairPlayBet

Western Conference playoffs, opening round (quarterfinals), Game 1 between Anaheim Ducks and Calgary Flames.

Regular season records:

Anaheim Ducks 46-36 overall (the third best overall record on West) and 29-12 at home (the best home record on West).

Calgary Flames 45-37 overall but only 7th best on West due too many OT wins, 21-20 away from home (the fifth best road record on West).

No matter these two sides have had almost identical overall record in regular season, I simply can not take any other option then home win. Simply, the Ducks hols too strong home record plus when it comes to mutual games with Calgary, home ice advantage gets even bigger importance since Calgary failed to win here in previous 11 seasons. Since 2006 they can't win here. Those are in total even 27 straight wins at home for Ducks against Flames, as in regular as in post season.

This season Anaheim won here twice, 4-1 3-1 plus they also won 2 of the three on the road against Calgary.

The odds on home win are not too great, that's true, but above mentioned 27-0 simply push me on betting the Ducks.
