Minnesota vs St. Louis by FairPlayBet

NHL Playoffs, first round on West

Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues are ready to meet each other in this Game 1 of the series best of seven games. These are second and third team from Central Division and also second an fifth best overall on the West coast.

Minnesota is set for around 1.60 favorite in this series and also with same odds in this opening game. But I'm not so sure their chances are so good, neither to win the series, neither tonight.

Before some time, Minnesota Wild really looked like a team who will go deep in post season but then suddenly they dropped in form big time and have had only 3 wins in 15 straight games. Still, after that Wild closed the season with four straight success but IMO that was not sign they are again back into previous form. Simply, just look on the names of the teams whom Wild beat at the end of regular season. Those were Arizona, Carolina and Colorado twice. So, opponents who are not even close to playoff potential.

St. Louis Blues on the other side have finished the season with 46 wins and that was just three wins weaker result than Minnesota had. With 22-19 away from home the Blues are tied for the second best road record in the Western Conference. This team definitely closed the regular season on high note, they have lost just 4 times in last 19 games of the regular season.

These two teams split the four mutual regular season meetings with both sides wining two games at home. I think it's time to we see here first road win when Wild and Blues are in question.

In worst case I expect to have stake back with this +1 on St. Louis Blues. If guests failed, I do not think it will be big loss. pin
